Fortegra Expansion news update:
Fortegra Group, a global specialty insurer and part of Tiptre, has received official clearance to expand its operations to Belgium and the European Union.
The newly established Fortegra Belgium Insurance Company, NV, headquartered in Brussels, will focus on underwriting specialty lines of business. Concurrently, Fortegra Europe Insurance Company in Malta will continue to concentrate on warranty products.
With its new base in Belgium, the insurance company aims to leverage strategic distribution channels within this dynamic market. The company’s European expansion will facilitate partnerships with managing general agents (MGAs) who specialize in various products and sectors. These collaborations will feature flexible deal structures, transparent partnerships, and shared risk management.
Rick Kahlbaugh, President and CEO of the insurance company, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “The MGA space across Europe is vibrant and compelling and provides a tremendous growth opportunity. We are thrilled to receive this license, which will allow us to provide innovative solutions to partners across Europe.”
