Amazon Barclaycard co-branded credit card: Earn Rewards on Amazon Purchases and More
Amazon and Barclays, one of the UK’s largest credit card providers, announce a new partnership to launch a co-branded credit card in the UK. The new card enables customers to earn rewards on everyday spending*, which can be redeemed for gift cards on Amazon.co.uk.
Amazon Barclaycard customers can earn 1% rewards on all Amazon purchases, 0.5% rewards on everyday spending outside Amazon for the first 12 months, and 0.25% thereafter. Amazon Prime members also enjoy 2% back on all Amazon spending during designated shopping events like Cyber Monday, Black Friday, and Prime Day.
Redeeming rewards is simple through the Barclaycard app, where customers can track their balance and redeem rewards for Amazon gift cards. The card comes with no annual fee, and new customers receive a £20 Amazon.co.uk gift card upon approval.
The card offers 0% APR on all purchases for the first six months, followed by a Representative APR of 28.9%, subject to the customer’s financial situation and borrowing history.
Cardholders also enjoy Barclaycard’s entertainment perks, including advance pre-sales for select UK events and 10% off pre-sale tickets and food and drink at selected venues when using their Amazon Barclaycard.
This new partnership between Amazon and Barclays, which also includes the ‘Instalments’ by Barclays credit account, allows Amazon customers to spread the cost of purchases over £100 with fixed monthly payments.
“We’re excited to introduce the Amazon Barclaycard, offering customers a way to earn rewards on their Amazon purchases and everyday activities without an annual fee,” said John Boumphrey, Amazon UK Country Manager.
Steve Weston, Head of Everyday Money Management at Barclays, added, “The Amazon Barclaycard is perfect for Amazon shoppers who want to be rewarded for their spending, highlighting our commitment to delivering compelling offers to grow our UK credit card business.”
Powered by Visa, the Amazon Barclaycard is accepted by millions of merchants worldwide and benefits from Visa’s advanced fraud prevention and Zero Liability Policy.
