Morgan Stanley received China Securities Regulatory Committee (CSRC) approval to set up Morgan Stanley Futures (China) Co., Ltd. in May 2023, becoming one of the first international financial services firms to fully own a futures company in China.
Headquartered in Beijing, the company currently provides brokerage services for commodity futures listed on Dalian Commodity Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange, Shanghai International Energy Exchange, and Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. Once the necessary qualifications are obtained, the company plans to offer brokerage services for equity and fixed-income financial futures and options traded on the China Financial Futures Exchange.
