Airtel Payments Bank
Airtel Payments Bank has unveiled its environmentally friendly debit and prepaid cards enabled with NCMC (National Common Mobility Cards). Through a collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the bank has introduced these interoperable cards.
Customers can utilize any of these cards for making secure, contactless payments at various merchant outlets both online (e-commerce) and offline, including NCMC transit transactions such as metros, buses, and parking facilities nationwide. At metro stations, commuters simply need to tap their cards at the gates, eliminating the need to queue up or purchase tickets.
The card also facilitates the issuance of concessions and monthly passes wherever accepted by the transport operator, eliminating the necessity of acquiring and managing multiple cards for various transport operators.
Now, customers have the option to request Airtel Payments Bank‘s NCMC-enabled Debit Card through the Airtel Thanks App or obtain it by visiting nearby banking points or designated locations at various metro stations. Additionally, NCMC-enabled Prepaid Cards will soon be accessible on online and retail platforms.
