Polkadot proudly announced as the official global training partner of David Beckham’s Inter Miami CF
Inter Miami CF, co-owned by David Beckham, has partnered with blockchain platform Polkadot (DOT), making Polkadot the club’s Global Training Partner. This collaboration aims to boost The platform’s brand exposure and connect with Inter Miami CF’s international fanbase.
As part of the agreement, The blockchain platform’s logo will feature on David Beckham’s Inter Miami’s First Team training kit, with players and technical staff wearing the branded tops during official training sessions at the Florida Blue Training Center, on the road, and in pre-match warm-ups. The new kit will debut in a training session before the August 31 match against Chicago Fire FC.
The blockchain platform will also have a significant presence at Chase Stadium in Florida, with LED displays and major signage both inside and outside the venue. As a Main Partner, Polkadot will engage fans through interactive fan zones, prominent branding at the training center, and digital campaigns, with more initiatives and activations expected.
This partnership marks a shift from traditional sponsorships, aligning with Polkadot’s community-driven governance model, which allows community members to participate in all decision-making processes, including global marketing efforts. Salvatore Esposito, Polkadot Community Contributor, emphasized how decentralized decision-making can shape significant global collaborations.
Euan Warren, Inter Miami’s Vice President of Partnerships, described the partnership as “a natural fit,” highlighting its potential to resonate with fans worldwide. Chrissy Hill, CLO and interim COO of Parity Technologies, expressed excitement about seeing Inter Miami’s soccer stars, including Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, sporting the Polkadot brand.
At the time of writing, DOT is trading at $4.32, with a 0.3% increase over the past 24 hours, though down 7.4% in the past week.
